Jag Gymnastics is a gym that is open seven days a week, and offers a variety of classes. The facility is very spacious, and the staff is background-screened and safety-certified. Although the gym does not offer Olympic training, it does provide a safe, fun, and friendly environment for kids to learn gymnastics. It also hosts Parents’ Night Out, a monthly event where parents can drop off their children to be entertained and taught gymnastics.
JAG offers a wide range of classes, including gymnastics, tumbling, and recreational. The classes are run by qualified instructors who are familiar with gymnastics and conditioning exercises. These instructors are also required to have additional coaching experience. They are safety certified and undergo on-going training. Their emphasis is on positive reinforcement of new skills, and the goal of the gym is to create a positive learning experience for each student. In addition to classes, the gym also runs full-day camps for students ages five and up.
The classes are divided into levels. Each level has a specific focus, and is designed to help your child develop skills. Levels 1-3 are compulsory, and levels 4-6 are optional. Typically, the curriculum will involve playground readiness, character development, and general athletic preparation for other sports. Once a student finishes the compulsory levels, he or she can move on to the optional levels.
Students will begin by learning the basics of gymnastics, including trampoline, bars, vault, and tumbling. As they progress, they will gain new skills, such as climbing, jumping, and running. By the end of the class, the students will be comfortable enough to move on to more advanced classes. At this point, they will begin using the Fun and Fit Kindergym Star System to Achieve, which is used to introduce new gymnastic skills and increase flexibility and strength.
JAG provides a safe and structured environment, and the instructors will assist your child in developing fine and gross motor skills, as well as social skills. Classes are offered at a minimum of eight students to one instructor. This ratio ensures that every child receives individual attention and an enjoyable experience. During the summer, JAG hosts a full-day camp for children ages five and up. During this session, your child will receive a snack station, crafts, and scheduled breaks for games.
If you are interested in taking your child to a JAG gymnastics class, you will want to take into consideration your schedule, your child’s age, and the availability of a facility. You will also want to consider the quality of the instructors. JAG requires all of its instructors to have at least one year of gymnastics coaching experience. Additionally, the gym follows CDC guidelines, and the staff regularly undergoes temperature checks.
