They also need to consume large amounts of fat and carbs, but at the proper amounts and in the right combinations.
In addition to the proper nutrition…the right equipment is absolutely necessary to be an effective competitor in gymnastics. Certain gymnasts may have special props such as bars and floorboards, which may help them get more efficient at performing difficult maneuvers, but if the gymnast is unable to buy the proper gymnastic equipment, they are at a significant disadvantage when they compete. Not all gymnasts can afford to buy the best gymnastic apparatus; therefore, they will compete with each other to be able to purchase the equipment that they need. This competition is very fierce, and competitive gymnasts are known to put everything into their routines so that they can do their absolute best…even if it means buying the most expensive apparatus around.
Finally, the ability of a gymnast to perform a specific routine is one of the primary factors that helps them to achieve a certain level of fitness. Therefore, a gymnast with good body composition…and especially female gymnast bodies tend to do better at any given sport. This is because they can use their height to their advantage, as well as their speed to excel at any given competition. Male gymnasts tend to lack athleticism and power, which is why they generally do not do very well in their respective sports. However, women can be taller than most men, which gives them the ability to excel at many different sports.
